I am not a perfect candidate. The perfect candidate doesn't exist. But, a vote for me, is a vote for a hard working, genuine, authentic person who will always put your interests above my own.
This is a brief introduction to who I am and for what I stand. Please, take a few minutes, watch this and following videos, and learn more about how I will represent you, if elected.
I am running for State Assembly because I am tired of career politicians who are more concerned with sound bites and press releases than they are with passing legislation beneficial to the working class. When I was in the Navy, I had a Chief who wouldn't allow me to complain about a problem without proposing one solution. Often times, the solution to our legislative gridlock is simple, talk and work across the aisle. Our representative, who has sat in the same seat for two decades, has forgotten how to do that
Wisconsin ranks 33rd in the nation in access to clean water. This is bad and it is getting worse. Now is not the time for partisan bickering and playing the blame game. Now is the time for action
Let's talk about the issues that are actually impacting us. Too many of our representatives lean in to messaging bills that don't help solve our problems. Did they secure us clean water? Better internet? Veteran benefits? Nope, but they did pass a resolution to commemorate the victims of communism and want to amend the constitution to do something it already does.
The most recent Wisconsin state budget included $0 for improved rural broadband internet. Instead, we are getting federal funding that will not cover everyone. It is 2024, access to broadband internet is a necessity, not a luxury
When our legislature says no, it is time to elect someone who will say yes!
Let's talk about gun safety. 2/3 of gun deaths in WI are self inflicted. 80% of all suicides in WI are men. If the GOP believes gun deaths to be a mental health issue, then let's do something to support mental health.

As a conservationist, Ben Murray understands the importance of protecting Wisconsin's natural resources for future generations. He supports investing in clean energy like wind and solar to drive job creation while reducing environmental impact. Ben will work to improve access to clean water and preserve the beautiful outdoor spaces that make Wisconsin a special place to live, work and raise a family.
To address rising housing costs, Ben Murray wants to provide tax incentives to spur new home construction across the state. He also believes limiting foreign investment in Wisconsin real estate and reining in corporate landlords will help make home ownership more attainable for working families. Creative solutions are needed to tackle affordable housing shortages.
Improving public amenities and delivering better services is key to enhancing quality of life for 36th District constituents. Ben supports increasing shared revenue so local governments have the funds needed to equip, train, and maintain a robust network of Rescue Squads, Fire Fighters, and Law Enforcement.
